1) Plant a tree. A single tree will absorb one ton of carbon dioxide
over its lifetime.
2) Turn off electronic devices when not in use. This will save you
thousands of pounds of carbon dioxide a year.
3) Be sure you’re recycling at home. You can save 2,400 pounds of
carbon dioxide a year.
4) Reduce the miles you drive. Walk, ride a bike, or take mass
transit wherever possible. 10 miles of driving every week
eliminates about 500 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions a year!

Since 1990, 33 new countries have been created. The dissolution of the USSR
and Yugoslavia in the early 1990s caused the creation of most of the newly
independent states.
On Sunday, February 17, 2008, Kosovo unilaterally declared independence from
Serbia . One day later, Kosovo gained international recognition and became recognized
as the world's 195th country on Monday.

On Sunday, March 9 (the second Sunday in March)
at 2 a.m., Daylight Saving Time begins in the
United States. At 2 a.m. they set their clocks
forward one hour ahead of standard time. Daylight
Saving Time was instituted in the United States
during World War I in order to save energy for
war production by taking advantage of the later
hours of daylight between April and October. In
1966, Congress of United States passed the Uniform
Time Act which standardized the length of Daylight
Saving Time.
